Pricing — what we charge, what we never will

Last updated: 2026-05-07

Currently in open beta — Pro is not yet for sale.

This page exists so you know exactly what we will charge for, what we never will, and the seven rules we hold ourselves to. We will announce paid plans here when they go live; until then everything is free.

Our principle

We don't lock content — we charge for tools that make you stronger faster. Free is enough to learn at your own pace; Pro is for accelerating.

Why we don't sell Lifetime

Lifetime sounds nice — pay once, never pay again. We won't sell it, and we want to be honest about why.

  • Pro includes AI features. Every prompt costs us money — over 5–10 years a Lifetime user can run a negative margin. Selling Lifetime would push us toward downgrading or sunsetting AI quality, which is worse for everyone.
  • Lifetime locks our pricing forever. If we improve the product significantly, we'd have to either give it away to old buyers or build a separate "Pro Plus" tier — both bad UX.
  • Lifetime accounts get resold on second-hand markets, which we can't realistically police without invasive tracking. Subscriptions don't have this problem.

Our longest commitment is the 3-year Pro Pass at $89 / ¥629. That's how far we can credibly promise to keep AI quality intact.

Seven rules we hold ourselves to

  1. Cancel button on the first page of settings, one click. No five-step maze.
  2. Auto-renew is OFF by default for monthly plans. You opt in if you want it.
  3. We email 3 days before any renewal so you never get a surprise charge.
  4. Refund policy: 7 days monthly / 14 days yearly / 30 days for 3-year Pass. No reason needed.
  5. No dark patterns: no fake countdown timers, fake purchase counts, pre-checked boxes, or "1 spot left!".
  6. Same purchasing power across regions. We won't price-discriminate between Taiwan and Mainland China.
  7. No piracy hunting. We don't IP-block or fingerprint to detect cracked accounts. Learning software with anti-piracy aggression has bad karma.

Mainland China payment

Reality: Stripe doesn't work inside Mainland China. We're being upfront about this rather than pretending it's fine.

  • At launch: international cards (Visa / Mastercard / Amex / UnionPay) only via Stripe. If you have an overseas card, you can buy normally.
  • Within 1–3 months of launch: we plan to integrate a cross-border PSP (PingPong / LianLian / etc) so Alipay and WeChat Pay work for users in Mainland China.
